THINGS PEOPLE ASK

HOW ARE YOUR GROUP FITNESS CLASSES DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I MIGHT FIND ON AN APP?

The difference is we are real people in real time.  I know each and every participant in my classes and we connect before and after class.  Sometimes it's just a brief chat, but it's a connection nonetheless, and that's what sets me apart from other group fitness that's out there right now.  If we are going to be alone, we should at least be together.

HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR TRAINER AT A GYM?

Right now it makes sense to work from home for some of us, and it also makes sense to work out from home.  You don't need fancy equipment or big machines to have a great workout.  I know how to use what you've got at home and make your living room/basement/laundry room into the best fitness facility in town.

WHAT TYPES OF HOME FITNESS EQUIPMENT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Listen, dumbells are getting hard to come by.  If you have some, great!  If you don't, I can figure out what we can use instead.  The best workout I had this summer was with a watermelon instead of a medicine ball.  We will make it work with what you've got.

DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE AND A DIET PLAN?

I don't provide advice or guidance on how or what you eat.  We all know what is healthy and what isn't and I'm not the diet police.  I would be happy to refer you to a really great dietician or nutritionist.  My job is to make you feel good in your skin, not bad about the choices you make.

AM I TOO OLD FOR THIS?

No one is too old to enjoy movement, and it is NEVER too late to start.  We work with what we have, and we modify for all levels and abilities.  The best place to start is right where you are, and you will be amazed at what you can do!

DO I HAVE TO HAVE MY CAMERA ON?  I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO WATCH ME DANCE!

For any of the group fitness options, you can choose to turn your camera off.  For personal training and boot camps, it is preferred that your camera is on so I can watch for form and correct for any issues that could lead to injury.
